When using LEOS JIU JITSU ACADEMY (hereinafter referred to as "the School"), we ask for your understanding and cooperation in strictly adhering to the following items.
Article 1
This school is a membership-based school. The school is operated with the aim of contributing to the maintenance and improvement of members' health through martial arts, and contributing to the local community by deepening interactions between members and friendships within the local community. In order to ensure that all members can use the facility comfortably, members must comply with the school's operation and management policies (including procedures for deciding whether or not to acquire or lose membership status, collection of membership fees and other fees, and establishment, amendment, or abolition of membership regulations).
Article 2
Those who can join the school must meet the various requirements, agree with the school's purpose, and accept these terms and conditions. In addition, those who can use the school must not have been prohibited from exercising by a doctor. Members of anti-social forces such as organized crime, those who may interfere with the smooth school life of members, those who have a disease that may be transmitted to others, such as an infectious disease, and others who the school deems inappropriate are not eligible to join. Furthermore, if any of these conditions are discovered, even after enrollment, you will be asked to withdraw from the school.
Article 3
Those who wish to join the school must complete the prescribed enrollment procedures, obtain approval from the school, and pay the prescribed membership fees and other enrollment costs. In addition, we may require you to submit a medical certificate from a doctor if necessary. If the person joining is a minor, the application procedure must be completed jointly by the person and their guardian. In this case, the guardian will be jointly and severally liable with the person under these terms and conditions, just as if they had become a member themselves.
Article 4
Members must pay the admission fee set by the school in the prescribed manner. This admission fee is a necessary cost for the conclusion and execution of the membership contract, and once paid, it will not be refunded.
Article 5
The School may suspend or expel a member if it determines that the member falls under any of the following items:
1. When a student is overdue for three months or more for membership fees and other charges set by the school. (In the case of expulsion, all membership fees and other charges prior to expulsion must be paid.)
2. When the student intentionally damages the school facilities or equipment.
3. When there is a violation of these terms and conditions or other rules established by the school.
4. When the school's reputation or credibility is damaged or order is disrupted.
5. When it is discovered that false information has been stated in the membership documents.
6. When a member has engaged in misconduct that is deemed to be detrimental to the dignity of a member.
7. When you are infected with a contagious disease or other illness that may be transmitted or infect others.
8. When the student does not comply with the reasonable instructions or guidance of the School.
9. Any other reason that the School deems unsuitable for membership of the School in light of accepted social standards.
Article 6
Members must pay the membership fees and other charges set by the school in the prescribed manner. The type, amount, payment deadline and payment method of the membership fees and other charges will be determined by the school. (Members are obligated to pay the monthly membership fee as long as they hold membership status with the school, even if they do not actually use the school's facilities.)
Article 7
1. Members may take leave from the following month by submitting the designated leave of absence form to the school by the 10th of each month (or the next business day if the 10th is a holiday). Due to the school's administrative procedures, if the leave is submitted after the 10th, it will be treated as the month after the following month.
2. The period of absence per notification can be from one to six months, and the absence fee will be the amount set by the school. If you wish to extend the period of absence by the 10th of the last month of the absence, you can do so by submitting another absence notification.
Article 8
Members can change their membership type from the following month by submitting the required change notification to the school by the 10th of each month (or the next business day if the 10th is a holiday). If the change is made after the 10th, the school will treat it as the month after the following month for administrative purposes.
Article 9
Members may cancel their membership at the end of the month by submitting the designated cancellation form to the school by the 10th of each month (or the next business day if the 10th is a holiday). Verbal cancellations, such as by phone, will not be accepted. If the cancellation is made after the 10th, the school's administrative procedures will treat it as the end of the following month.
Please note that you will still be obligated to pay membership fees unless the school receives your notice of withdrawal.
